Process

During a 3-day custom design sprint, my team of 7 was tasked with designing the Mayo Clinic’s 2024 annual report and program one-pagers, ensuring they are engaging and effective for internal communications. By creating visually compelling materials, we helped uphold the Mayo Clinic’s mission to foster employee creativity and innovative problem solving.

I took the lead in shaping the strategic marketing direction and storytelling framework for Mayo Clinic’s 2024 annual report and program one-pagers. I collaborated with a cross-functional team to ensure our design aligned with the organization’s mission, translating complex healthcare innovations into engaging narratives. I conducted market research, created in-depth mood boards, and condensed visual inspiration into a clear, actionable creative direction that satisfied client needs. I also facilitated strategic discussions with clients and team members to uncover innovative yet accessible design solutions.

The process began with an initial client and stakeholder meeting, where we were introduced to the design brief and conducted an interview with an internal stakeholder to gain deeper insights into the project’s goals. From there, I led the concepting of a marketing strategy, coining the phrase “Catalyst for Hope and Healing” to establish a clear narrative and tone that guided the visual design and creative direction.
